        Does not function. Says wait for 0.00 display which never happens. My advice DON'T BUY or you be stuck with a rain gauge that doesn't work.

            It was simple to set up and seemed to work, but then it quit working and I had to call the factory. After being told to aim the receiver at the collector, it worked OK. Next time I would probably purchase a more expensive one.
            However, Hayseed is a good company to buy from.

            The cover is very difficult to remove for battery replacement w/o breaking tabs that secure it. Another job for duct tape! The sending unit failed after 3+ years - not my idea of a reasonable life or good design. It does keep a total until you reset, allowing you to keep monthly (or any length period) rain total records.
