        I just wanted something simple to tell me how cold it was outside and inside. I do not know if the transmitter is weather-proof as I hung mine under an eave. It appears to be accurate and I liked the price.

          Easy to setup and use; good for the price. One challenge seems to be setting the receiving unit next to electronics. The reception from the outdoor transmitter seems to be blocked when setting this unit on my workdesk next to my laptop when it's on - the temperature reading disappears. I haven't tested it near other electronics. Also, I'm not sure about the reliability of the indoor temperature, as my thermostat differs from this unit by usually two degrees, sometimes more.
